Tokyo, JAPAN, September 13, 2011 - Cint opens new office and partners with technology-based market research firm, Borders, to offer increased access to over 500K panelists in Japan.

Cint, global leader in SaaS-based market research solutions, opens a new office in Japan and signs a strategic alliance with Borders, a leading technology provider to the Japanese market research industry. Based in Tokyo, Borders is the company behind the POST survey and panel management system. POST, like Cint Panel Exchange (CPX), enables panels to connect and trade access to insight. The difference being Borders also aggregates these panels when offering them to clients.

Richard Thornton, Global Commercial Director comments, "The synergy between the two firms creates a unique value proposition enabling increased access, new service offerings and distinctive technological advancements. We feel like this is the right fit in terms of getting a foothold into the Japanese market and hope this will expedite growth for both companies."

In the immediate timeframe, Cint will work with Borders as two separate systems. However, an API is currently under development to link the two platforms, CPX and POST, creating a truly global marketplace. This combination will offer Japanese market research buyers an easier route to international sample.

Ikuo Hagino, Founder and CEO of Borders, Inc. says "Borders is delighted to have agreed this strategic partnership with Cint and we believe that the Japanese market will benefit significantly from the synergy of our two firms creating an integrated platform that offers a one-stop service for professionals, whether they are marketers, researchers, or small businesses. The POST system allows users a simple but highly effective way to create a wide variety of questionnaires and access to 500,000 Japanese panelists, and now with the connection to Cint's CPX, for the first time Japanese buyers of online research services will have a seamless gateway to global sample."

The partnership between Cint and Borders will also provide a number of benefits to clients and panel owners in the Asia-Pacific region, such as survey programming and data reporting capabilities through the Borders POST platform. Clients will gain the ability to license POST and tap into Cint's CPX marketplace through the API as well as sample from over 40 markets around the world, including over 500K respondents in Japan.

Both solutions offer self-service technology options, either directly in CPX for sample only or interfacing through POST for full-service, whilst still benefiting from access to CPX via the API connection. There will also be Cint support locally in Tokyo to help this process and continue expansion in the region. Cint already established an office in Sydney Australia 12 months ago.
